By the way, does the "Download icon" work for anyone else? I don't think I've gotten it to work for me yet...I keep having to manually replace the icon.

Download icon works for entries in the main menu, but not for launchers on the desktop, afaik: noted.

Here's my Zombo.com Prism app:

Yeah. I guess it's kind of an inside joke.

But you can do anything there. Anything at all.

I made a Prism app for my Sockso server music player for streaming music on my home network:

Very cool Mr. Shifty. I have been kicking around creating a media server/DVR with one of my old laptops.

I'm contemplating writing up a Linux Critic review of Sockso once I've used it a bit more.

My initial impressions of it:

  • Needs to do a better job with cover art. It by default grabs images from Amazon; I think it'd do better with Last.fm (Clementine does, anyway)
  • Needs better reporting/logging
  • Needs better documentation

Other than that, so far I really like it. Works awesome for streaming over my home network. I have a rather smallish hard drive on my Peppermint laptop, and Last.fm doesn't always cut it for me, so this is a great way to enjoy my own music collection without having to stream over the internet or fill up my laptop's hard drive.

This is interesting, an application that helps you arrange a place to meet with a number of friends based on the location of a certain type (bar, diner, whatever) which is closest to the point in between all of you, for equidistant travel.

It's at rendeznew.com.

It's not really a webapp but having a one-click accessible bookmark is pretty useful because I use this a lot:
