I have installed Openbox from the repos and was wondering if it is possible to incorporate Openbox into Peppermint 4. I love using Openbox because of it's flexibility and speed and ease of use.

What exactly is the problem you are having ?

If you've installed openbox, you should be able to select Openbox as the session from the login screen, then sign in as normal.

I do that. Works fine. I also added tint2, nitrogen, and rox to the autostart file. What am I missing. I know that when I open up rox or pcmanfm, the icons are blank, and I'm sure I am missing something in the autostart file.

try installing gnome-icon-theme-full and gnome-icon-theme-symbolic:
Code:
sudo apt-get install gnome-icon-theme-full gnome-icon-theme-symbolic

did that fix the pcmanfm icons ?

What are you expecting to autostart ?

That worked. Thanks. I guess I was looking for something that would display the icons properly and I wasn't sure what part of linux was responsible for this. So far my Openbox session looks good.
