Hi all! I've got another issue and I couldn't find anything on the internet about it.
When I copy/paste my music from the sd card in the cellphone, peppermint renames all the pasted folders and files with numbers. It wouldn't be a problem, but Guayadeque cannot scan the music that way.
How can I resolve it?

Do you want to try installing a later version of pcmanfm and libfm from my PPA and see if that helps ?

Dunno if it will help, probably not, but it will certainly fix some other issues and can't hurt ... at the very least it's a starting point.

Mh, I could try.
By the way, my boyfriend used the same release in this same computer and he never had these issues (I reinstalled pepp when the computer became mine), so I just can't understand it. Why would the same release have that bug just for me? x'D

Dunno .. same phone ?
same SDcard ?
formatted the same ?

anyway, to update pcmanfm, open a terminal and run these commands in sequence:
Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mark-pcnetspec/pcmanfm-testing

then
Code:
sudo apt-get update

then
Code:
sudo apt-get upgrade

then
Code:
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

then REBOOT.

Now check the SDcard.

how exactly are you reading the SDcard on the Peppermint PC ?
card reader ?

I'm reading it by connecting the phone to the usb port.
I'll try the codes later, then I'll update the post (: thank you for the support!

Edit 1: I just found this. http://forum.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=140688&p=746331
The phone is the same (sony xperia go, android 4.1.2) and the problem is all the same, only in Linux Mint. Unfortunately they couldn't resolve it

Edit 2: I did you update and reboot, but the problem still persists. It only made the file manager slower in opening my sd card folders :s

You could try emailing your music folder from your phone as an attachment then saving it.
