I've made a hotmail one and an iCloud one.

EDIT: Good find to who found EyeOs. It is much lighter and faster to load than iCloud

Social Networking:
facebook.com
This is the official website
twimbow.com
Think seesmic but only for twitter and with only two columns (timeline and a second panel that lists all your tweets, dms, retweets, favs, etc) You can color code your contacts. I really suggest checking them out

Radio
pandora.com
slackerradio.com

Chat
imo.im
Just like ebuddy but has chat histories, webcam support, android app

Productivity
aol.com
google+
springpad.com
similar to evernote but with a nicer interface in my opinion

I'd forgotten all about this thread! Thanks. One I've played with of late is www.lucidchart.com, which is for making flow charts and the like.

A couple of pretty cool web apps can be made out of stuff with chromium offline support:
I have one for offline gmail, which gives me a nice lightweight email client. Another is Diigo's Quick Note which works offline and backs up notes to the cloud. (need a Diigo account). I had to use the Chrome web shortcut tool for that because the installed app has no URL (that I knew how to find, anyway). But it works just as well.

Really loving Peppermint. It's the perfect portable/web OS.
