I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where we can share Prism applications that we've made, that other Peppermint OS users might be interested in doing too.

Full instructions for using Prism are here, although more experienced users might just want to jump in - the tutorial is quite in depth.

I'll get the ball rolling. I live in the UK, and as such Hulu is not available to me (don't write to me about proxy servers - I know). I figured I'd do a Prism for a service I can use, BBC iPlayer.

(Oh, for screen captures, see the tutorial stickied in the Artwork forum)

Wow, that sounds even better than iPlayer! I hadn't heard of that one. Thanks, chaos!

Question for you both then - how do you (or, do you) get Flash playing decently in full screen? It's still pretty jerky when I try it.

My youngest daughter LOVES Club Penguin. She is a member [paid for with a $5 a month "Fee" for cleaning the mouse and bird cages]

So, as a treat now, She can hang out in her igloo with her many Puffles on the LCD

Prism running Club Penguin connected to my 42" HDTV

That's a good question but unfortunately I can't reproduce the symptoms here as Flash is working quite well (for a change ;) ). That question is better off as a new thread on this board. Thanks.

Shane: I've heard of Club Penguin and might just try it out. Just to research in case I have kids of my own, of course... ahem ;)

Might look better without the navigation toolbar so will need to play around with prism more. :)

Great for those who like tinkering (like me) or who actually are developers.

I just posted how to install the LAMP stack on your Peppermint, if that's attractive: link

Jealous.
Since i moved to Japan it's annoyed me so much that i can't get BBCi player and all the other similar ones. I'd happily pay the license fee to get access every year...
