It seems that some website videos don't play well on Chrome (latest dev) or Chromium (latest stable).
They kinda freeze for a moment every 2 or 3 seconds of reproduction.

I tryed the same videos with FireFox and Opera, and they are perfectly smooth.

Any ideas?

Have you checked Chrome/Chromium bug reports to see if anybody else is having this? Since it is just happening with browsers based on the Chromium project, that's probably where the problem lies. I don't use either browser and I'm on my tablet right now, but I can try them out later on my desktop and see if I can reproduce the problem. (there's no point in trying it on my laptop because all videos do that on there ;))

In the meantime, I'd suggest using Firefox or Opera for videos until somebody smarter than me comes along and maybe can get it fixed or a new version comes out that doesn't do that.

I had a Chromium problem with youtube videos that I posted. I kept getting "this video is unavailable," yet I could go to settings and run it from there. I fixed the problem by removing chromium and installing the latest stable version of Chrome from the Chrome website. I know this isn't exactly the same problem, but it may be related somehow.

The problem kind of solved itself when, in subsequent Chrome updates, the bug simply disappeared :?

On one hand it's nice when that happens .. on the other, it denies you the opportunity to figure out what the problem was in the first place.

Happy to hear it's sorted though :)
