I was given the laptop for free, and I found it worthy of being my DOS games machine...
I installed Windows 98 second edition on it and then copied over my dos games off my external hard drive....
I have all my dos games entered into Norton Commander menus so I can mouse thru them all in the menu system and pick what I want to play and click it in the menu...

But just for S&G's I said Hey I should use this thing as a dual boot and play around with it and linux....
I had antix on it for a while using LXDE windows manager that i added on to antix, and that worked swell... Antix booted to desktop at about 48 megs ram, I think peppermint 3 is booting about 89 megs.... I see stuff in peppermint 3 running and being loaded on boot up that I want to remove, but I will ask you about that in another thread later on today...

Sure :)

Just as a matter of interest, what made you decide to look for something other than Antix ?

Well I was playing around with antix, I installed the LXDE manager on it which made it a lot more user friendly...
but something happened to it and I lost several items in the logout box I had no choices for shutdown or reboot anymore so I figured i would just try something else rather then go thru reinstalling antix again and setting it all up the way I like it to be....

Well I'm certainly not going to "knock" your replacement choice ;)
