Thanks to Peppermint Four my old laptop has a new lease of life. Several years ago, Windows XP got so huge and slow the machine was virtually unusable. I switched to Ubuntu LTS which has been fine up 11.04 but now, even without the Unity interface on later versions, the machine is too slow. Not so with Peppermint. I use it for photo and video editing (a bit slow for the latter, but usable), a media server, web site maintenance and OpenOffice work. :D
