LoL! :D

A friend of mine used to drive a clunker -- it's all he could afford. The check engine light was always on, and he got tired of his wife complaining about it. So, he 'fixed it' with electrical tape -- matched the rest of the dash perfectly.

The thing is... I like the WiFi LED. It indicates if the WiFi is on/off. I just didn't like it flashing all the time, like a router. It was very distracting/irritating.

Oh, BTW, while I'm thinking about it...

Dell parts are dirty-cheap on Fleabay. I think I paid $3.00 USD for the 1390 WLAN card w/FS.

I don't know if I buy electrical tape that cheaply... LoL!

I'm thinking about adding Dell Truemobile 360 bluetooth modules to my D620 & D630 lappies.

They're $4.00 USD w/FS... no kidding!

Heh! Just ordered two Dell Truemobile 360 bluetooth modules (JP098) -- $7.22 USD total.

Gotta love Fleabay... :D

Oh, there is one.

I have the opposite 'problem'. I find a lot of products I'd like to buy in the U.K. but don't want to wait for it to clear customs.

Maybe "fleabay" threw you. I have a nick for everything and everybody. LoL! :D

My fleabay Dell Truemobile 360 bluetooth modules arrived. They were 'new', not 'used' (as described), but I won't complain.

They appear to be working fine. The 'blue' bluetooth LED indicators, on my notebooks, look nice. And, I have a nice new bluetooth icon on my Peppermint lower panel(s).

Er...

What's is bluetooth good for -- never used it before?

Don't use a mouse -- don't own a smart phone (I prefer carrying two fliphones - for business n' pleasure) -- blah, blah, blah.

Not being a wiseguy...

Just wanted to install the bluetooth modules because I *felt* like I was missing out on something -- and, to be able to test bluetooth functionality in Peppermint OS, et cetera.

How about an earpiece/headset (site picked at random)?!?!? That might come in handy for Skype.

I avoid using Skype on my portables, because I hate dealing with the headset cords -- worried about breaking the fragile jacks, and all that rot. I just don't want to give myself brain cancer, by placing a transmitter in my ear, you know? LoL! :D

Any thoughts???

Not from me ;) .. I couldn't really see much point in bluetooth either.

Makes sense on a smartphone, but that's about it :?
