With a bit of editing, I came up with this Conky.

looks pretty good, do you care to share your config file or settings?
Thanks, Tony

Hi Tony how's it going? I'm happy you like my Steampunk(ish) Peppermint Conky :lol: . It's very much an experiment on my part as I'm very new to all this. This Conky is an edit of an edited version of OrangeConky. I have made some final adjustments, so it looks slightly different to the image I originally posted.

Here is a link to my SpiderOak cloud storage, where there is a folder, ".conky": Andy's Peppermint Conky/Lua. Download the folder and its contents to your home folder:

user being whatever your user name is. You may not have the Georgia font installed, I can't remember if its pre-installed with Peppermint OS Four. Just use any font that suits your theme. You do need to have conky/lua installed. If you don't have it or are unsure, open a terminal window:
Quote:
Ctrl+Alt+t
and copy and paste the following code into it:
Code:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install conky conky-all
Hit enter and provide your password if asked. It will either install conky-all or, tell you if its already installed. To invoke Conky, enter into the terminal:
Code:
conky
Hit enter and Conky should start.

I have Conky in my autostart. Here are the instructions if you need them. Open a terminal window:
Quote:
Ctrl+Alt+t
First make a shell script. Copy and paste the following into the terminal, (Hint: dragging and dropping the text into the terminal works really well):
Code:
gedit ~/.config/autostart/conky-autostart-6sec-delay.sh
Hit enter and when gedit opens, copy and paste in the following script:
Code:
#!/bin/bash
sleep 6
display=:0.0 conky -c ~/.conky/conkyrc_lunatico
Save the file:
Quote:
Ctrl+s
To make the file executable. Copy and paste or drag and drop the following command into the terminal:
Code:
chmod +x ~/.config/autostart/conky-autostart-6sec-delay.sh
Hit enter.

Now copy and paste the following into the terminal:
Code:
gedit ~/.config/autostart/conky-autostart.desktop
Hit enter and when gedit opens, copy and paste the following into it:
Code:
[Desktop Entry]
Name=Conky Autostart
Comment=Run Conky delay script
Exec=/home/andy/.config/autostart/conky-autostart-6sec-delay.sh
Terminal=false
Now save:
Quote:
Ctrl+s
.

Logout and login to test the sync timing. You may have to adjust the "sleep" time as every rig will be different. 6secs works fine on my machine. It should now be up and running, doing its Conky thing ;) .

I hope this helps and apologies if the instructions are too simplistic - have fun :D !
