I wasn't sure whether to post this in the 'New Users' or this forum, but erred on this one because I feel like the question is more complex. Apologies if the answer turns out to be obvious.

I have recently made the switch (back) to linux after a long absence. Everything is working smoothly except I cannot, for the life of me, get my laptop to connect to the WPA2 Enterprise network at work (a university).

The details for connecting are:
Quote:
Wireless Network Name (SSID) : eduroam
Security Type : WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption Type : AES preferred, TKIP acceptable
EAP Method : PEAP
Phase 2 (Inner Method) : EAP-MSCHAPV2
Root CA Certificate(s) : [Install thawte Primary Root CA]
User Certificate : <N/A>
Anonymous Identity (Outer Identity) : <Leave Blank>
Username (Identity) : [Your Username]
Password : [Your Password]

Aware of the bug at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1104476, I've tried both with, and without a certificate.

I am focusing my attention on getting eduroam working because, if I can manage that, then my laptop can go anywhere.

Syslog without the certificate:

Removing system-ca-cert=true from /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/your_connection_name has been reported to work for some. Should you want to give it a try, open a terminal and run...

Code:
sudo nano /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/your-connection-name-here

*replace "your-connection-name-here" with the actual name of your connection, of course

Find and remove the line system-ca-cert=true, save your changes and reboot.

Hope it proves to be that simple for you.

Welcome to the PeppermintOS Forum, btw.

EDIT: For future reference please use pastebin.com to post lengthy output. Thanks.
