I had a quick look but couldn't find specific info for this. Is it possible to transfer files (pictures) from phone to pc via the router?

Huawei osn500 router connected with ethernet cable to pc. Router to cable modem via ethernet cable also. The phone (HTC Sensation) is already linked to wireless router to utilize wifi.

Hi dellpe

If you have a wireless connection and your phone is android you can use airdroid,

Airdroid is simple app you download on to your phone that allows you to connect to your PC via your web browser

Good luck

Hi dellpe,

Before I heard about airdroid, I bought WiFi Transfer Pro (there are many similar apps in the Play Store), and fortunately they are both easy to use.

You could also install Dropbox on your phone and PC, and set the phone to automatically upload photos when connected to WiFi (beware, if you pay for Internet per MB and take a lot of photos this will be very expensive).

Airdroid is brilliant .. and it still amazes me that there's no equivalent for iOS and Win Phone.
