I'm as green to linux as I was to Windows 98SE back in '99. Doing something that I'm not familiar with does scare me.
I removed Chromium from the Menu. Following these directions.

deno
In your terminal type....(or copy & paste)
Code:
gedit ~/.config/lxpanel/Peppermint/panels/panel

Look for this
Code:
item {
name=Chromium
image=chromium-browser
action=chromium-browser
}

Delete that entire entry and save your changes. When you log out / log in it will be gone.

Welcome to Peppermint!

regards
mac

That worked as expected. Now, if I want to add Firefox to the Menu would I:

Code:
gedit ~/.config/lxpanel/Peppermint/panels/panel

then add

Code:
item {
            name=Firefox
            image=firefox-web-browser
            action=firefox-web-browser
        }

Thanks in advance Ralphy

Nearly .. basically you needed to replace:
Code:
item {
name=Chromium
image=chromium-browser
action=chromium-browser
}

with
Code:
item {
name=Firefox
image=firefox
action=firefox
}

then reload the panel by running:
Code:
lxpanelctl restart

in a terminal.

[EDIT]

There's no need to worry about getting it wrong .. there's a default copy of that file saved here:
/usr/share/lxpanel/profile/Peppermint/panels/panel
DO NOT edit that file, just use it for reference if necessary.

BTW, Welcome to the forum, and Peppermint :)

Thank you for the quick response. It worked as you showed. I am so thankful for the copy and paste function as my typing skills are suspect.
Thanks Ralphy
